On Call Medical Assistant

FHC seeks a compassionate, energetic, customer-focused Certified Medical Assistant to work at the top of license in a fast-paced clinic environment serving a diverse population of patients. The right candidate will have great communication skills with the ability to handle all types of situations with professionalism and finesse.  Duties include working as part of the care team assisting medical clinicians with immunizations, injections, phlebotomy, EKG’s, Clia-waived testing, collecting labs, and assisting with the front and back office. Prior FQHC or primary care outpatient experience in a medical and dental setting with receptionist experience preferred.  Bilingual Spanish/English desired. Candidates must be Certified and licensed in the state of WA and be proficient in electronic medical records.  On call position must be willing to travel to other nearby FHC clinics.


On Call Dental Assistant

Are you caring, compassionate, like to serve the public, and can thrive in a fast paced work environment?  Are you dependable, calm under pressure, have an outstanding work ethic, and have a commitment to service?  Then you might be our ideal candidate.  Family Health Center is looking for an experienced WA Certified Dental Assistant that has 1-3 years of general dentistry experience, current CPR Certification, excellent customer service skills, strong communication skills, knowledge of dental procedures and terminology, knowledge of electronic health records, computer and typing skills, and the ability to work with others as a team member while serving a diverse population of patients.  Your duties will include, but not limited to, preparing and closing dental operatories, sterilizing and disinfecting instruments, setting up instruments trays, preparing materials, assisting dentists during dental procedures and completing patient charting.  For this position, you would need to have the required 7 hours of HIV/AIDS training, knowledge of Dentrix, is preferred but can train, customer service background and be able to follow directions.  Join our team and work for an organization that provides health and dental care to the uninsured and underserved families living in Cowlitz, Wahkiakum, and Pacific counties.  


On Call Receptionist

Do you possess exceptional customer service skills? Do you have a passion for assisting the underserved and uninsured population we have as patients? can you work along side a diverse group of individuals? As the first point of contact with FHC, we are looking for someone who possess exceptional customer service skills, has a great positive attitude, is friendly, has a professional demeanor and has a passion to serve our patients. An average day would include answering calls to the medical clinic routing them to them proper department or person, and answering calls from vendors with courtesy and enthusiasm. The right person will become a member of the Reception Team.

Our ideal candidate will have:

A high school diploma or GED

Knowledge of basic medical terminology

1-3 years previous experience in customer service

Be able to diffuse stressful situations

Worked as administrative office support.

Proficiency in computer skills, office equipment, and Microsoft Office.

Prior Medical office experience a plus.

Very strongly prefer bilingual oral and written communication.


On Call Residential Assistant

Family Health Center is looking for a Residential Assistant for our residential treatment facilities.  The ideal candidate is self motivated; has the ability to work with little supervision; possesses great communication skills – both verbal and written; possesses excellent conflict resolution skills; has the ability to make common sense decisions in stressful situations; has the ability to multi-task; be team oriented; and be comfortable working with low-income, multi-ethnic patient populations.  Are you familiar with HIPAA laws? Can you work any shift, including nights (hours vary)? If so, then you could be the right person for this position!  Duties include, but are not limited to: answering phones; greeting vendors and clients; providing information about FHC services; enforcing rules and regulations to ensure smooth and orderly operations; organization, documentation and record keeping; overseeing medication calls; making regular rounds to ensure that residents and areas are safe and secure; and supporting FHC strategic, clinical and operational initiatives such as Patient Centered Medical Home.  Requirements for this position include: a High School/GED or equivalent education; a valid driver license; proof of immunization or willingness to be vaccinated; HIV/AIDS training certification; current CPR and First Aid certification; and an annual TB test and results.  A criminal background check and drug screening will be completed before hire.
