This position is a para-professional intervention for high-risk women and their families and will be responsible for providing direct outreach, home visitation case management, and advocacy services to high-risk mothers who have used alcohol and/or drugs heavily during pregnancy, and to their children, partners, and extended families when needed. The PCAP Advocate maintains a professional, collegial positive relationship with staff and clients. Some of the key duties and responsibilities are performing case management activities, managing a caseload of 15-20 clients and their families, conduct home visits, provide outreach services, administer clinical assessment instruments, collect and enter data, participate in staff meetings and required trainings, complete special projects. Along with your PCAP supervisor you will have interaction with the University of Washington PCAP team and staff from other PCAP sites in Washington. Requires a bachelor’s degree and 4 years of community based experience working with High risk populations. Minimum 1-2 years previous experience working with Pregnant and postpartum women in drug related situations.
