The Dental Assistant Trainee Program and Cowlitz Family Health Center (CFHC) offers an immersive 10-month program designed to provide hands-on experience, in-depth clinical knowledge, and the essential skills needed to excel in patient care as a Dental Assistant. In this role you will be expected to Complete 1,700 hours of on-the-job paid training under the supervision of a dedicated Dental Assistant coach, complete textbook curriculum and all online coursework, report for scheduled shifts, and actively participate in chairside dentistry alongside an experienced dental assistant and dentist, practicing and demonstrating competency of hands-on technical skills. Requirements of the position include High School diploma or equivalent, ability to obtain a Dental Assistant Registration through WA Department of Health, and a minimum 12-month post-program employment commitment at CFHC.
