Dr. Melgar received a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology, and a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of the Philippines. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and received his training at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio. Dr. Melgar began his community health medicine career in 1996 while working at a Central Washington community health center, eventually becoming Medical Director. He joined the Family Health Center in 2006 as Medical Director, and continues an active outpatient and inpatient practice in internal medicine. He works primarily out of the Longview Medical Clinic.
